Mahmadu Kabba Musa
Former director of the Imam Malik Institute and founder of Karate in The Gambia
Muhammad Kaba Musa - Rahimahullah was a Gambian educator, former General Director of Imam Malik Islamic Institute, and a pioneering national figure. Born in Kaba Kunda, Basse and a graduate of Al-Azhar University Cairo in 1992, he taught for 13 years at Tallinding Kunja, led Imam Malik Institute, and served as Imam and Khateeb of Sinbo Doqati Mosque. He was also the founder who introduced and legally registered Karate in The Gambia, training generations including politicians, members of the Armed Forces and the President himself. May Allah forgive him and grant him Jannah.

Born in 1966 in New Demba Kunda and a graduate of Al-Azhar University, he has dedicated his life to teaching, guidance and service shaping generations of students and contributing to national Islamic committees and community development across The Gambia.

Shondi Muhammad Samba Drammeh a distinguished Gambian preacher, educator and educational administrator. Born in 1963 and raised in traditional Kuttab circles, he pursued Islamic studies in Saudi Arabia and specialized in Tafsir and Hadith at King Saud University. Malamin Zakaria Jagana a distinguished Gambian educator and Islamic studies teacher born in 1964 in Kindawon, Sierra Leone. A memorizer of the Qur'an since 1971 and graduate of Imam Malik Islamic Institute, he served as Director of Sudokota School and since 2007 has taught Islamic Education and Arabic at Imam Malik, supervising da'wah, guidance and media activities.

Born on 25 May 1987 in Farano, from Kuttab under Al-Hajj Fodi Horo Kia to the College of Da'wah in Madinah, Master's in 2017 and PhD in 2022, with an Ijazah in the Seven Qira'at from the Prophet's Mosque in 2017. Director of the Qur'an Department at Imam Malik Institute, Director of Al-Ihsan Orphanage, Director of the College of Usul al-Din, and Imam and Khateeb of Imam Malik Mosque since 2022.
